This policy explains how the Sling & Slide game ("the game", "we", "us") handles information. It applies to the game on iPhone, iPad and Android, and to this website.
Information we collect
In the app: none. The app doesn't send data to us, and it doesn't ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. The same goes for playing on this website, unless you buy something there (see Website purchases).
Information stored on your device
Your progress (coins, diamonds, upgrades, unlocked items, records and settings) is saved only on your device, inside the game. It is included in your device's normal backups (for example iCloud Backup) if you have them turned on. We can't see it. Deleting the game deletes this data.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (or by Google Play on Android). We never receive your name, payment details or billing address. The game receives a transaction ID from Apple or Google, which it keeps on your device so a purchase can't be lost or credited twice. See Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
Website purchases
If you buy diamonds or the Starter Pack while playing at slingandslide.com/play, the payment is handled by Stripe on its secure checkout page. Stripe collects your payment details and email address (for your receipt). We never see your full card number. From Stripe we can see the purchase, your email address, the country, brand and last four digits of your card, and any name you enter. We use this only to send receipts, handle refunds and support, and keep the tax records the law requires. Our small shop server (run on Cloudflare) confirms the payment with Stripe and passes the purchase to your game. It also receives a random ID that your browser creates so the purchase goes to the right game. It doesn't store any other information about you. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Game Center leaderboards
On iPhone and iPad you can sign in to Apple's Game Center. If you do, the game sends your run distances to Game Center leaderboards, and other players can see your Game Center nickname and scores there. Game Center is run by Apple, and Apple handles that information under its own privacy policy. You can sign out or change your Game Center visibility at any time in your device's Settings → Game Center.
Advertising, analytics and tracking
The game contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking tools. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell or share any data.
Children
Sling & Slide is rated 13+ on the App Store. Because the game collects no personal information, it doesn't collect information from children either. Purchases are protected by Apple's and Google's parental controls, such as Ask to Buy and Screen Time.
This website
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages. It uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. GitHub may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security purposes; see GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example because a new feature uses data, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
