These terms apply to the Sling & Slide game ("the game") and this website, provided by the developer of Sling & Slide ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
1. Using the game
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. If you got the game from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement applies to that point.
The game is rated for ages 13 and over. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian agrees before you make any purchase.
2. Play fair
Please don't cheat, modify or hack the game, use bots or exploits, interfere with leaderboards, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer the game except where the law allows it. We may remove scores that are clearly not genuine from leaderboards.
3. Coins, diamonds and other virtual items
- Coins, diamonds, characters, rides, upgrades and other in-game items ("virtual items") can only be used in the game. They have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for real money, goods or services, and can't be transferred or sold.
- You receive a licence to use virtual items in the game. You don't own them.
- We may rebalance the game from time to time, for example by changing the effects of upgrades, characters or rides, to keep it fair and fun.
4. Purchases
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and their terms of sale apply. We never see your payment details.
- On our website (slingandslide.com/play), purchases are processed by Stripe. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. For now only cards issued in Australia can be used; if you pay with another card, the payment is cancelled and you aren't charged. We never see your full card details.
- Website purchases are added to the web browser you play in, along with the rest of your web progress. They don't carry over to the app or to other browsers or devices, and clearing your browser's data removes them. If something goes wrong, contact us with your Stripe receipt and we'll sort it out.
- Prices are shown in the game before you buy and include any applicable taxes such as GST.
- Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or by Google Play. For website purchases, email us. Apart from that, and from your rights under consumer law, purchases of virtual items are final.
- If a purchase doesn't arrive, restart the game (or use Restore purchases in the Shop for the Starter Pack). If it's still missing, contact us.
5. Prizes
Prizes lets you spend diamonds on a random character or ride. Results are random. The chance of each rarity and each individual item, and the guarantee rules, are shown in the game under Prizes → Drop rates & rules before you roll. Diamonds spent on a roll can't be returned, but you always receive an item for every roll.
6. Your progress
Your progress is stored only on your device (see our Privacy Policy). If you delete the game, reset your data in Settings, or lose your device without a backup, your progress and virtual items can't be recovered. Purchased one-time items such as the Starter Pack can be restored with Restore purchases.
7. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop offering the game or parts of it. We'll try to give reasonable notice of anything that significantly affects players. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to play after an update means you accept it.
8. Your consumer rights and our liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and you may have similar rights where you live. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
To the extent the law allows, the game is provided "as is". We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of virtual items or progress caused by things outside our reasonable control. Where our liability can be limited, it's limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for the item concerned.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. This doesn't take away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
